“Growing up, I never had the right kind of mentorship or assistance at any point in my life. Books never made much sense to me but my dreams of becoming a physician always kept me up at night. Pursuing this thought of turning this dream into reality, I have stumbled and fallen multiple times in my journey just to eventually meet my greatest teacher – my mistakes. It’s not your scores, your publications, the length of your CV, or your successes that determine your capability of making a difference. All it takes is a spark of passion which is further fuelled by an incessant need to contribute and embrace the fortitude of the outcome on the other side. We believe in hierarchy-free learning as it drives away the fear and enhances the process of learning. Here at Gray Matter, we are a team of doctors and medical students who are looking forward to building a collaborative networking community to establish career guidance and consultation platform, proving to be an inspiration for student physicians wishing to develop a prosperous medical career in various parts of the world. We also believe that the upliftment of medicine is at the clemency of the medical community that requires the involvement of healthcare professionals from every single level of the chain including students, residents, and attendings by being an advocate for each other.”
